Al Cumplido, CFA, is the founder and Co-CIO of AMP Consulting Group, an Outsourced CIO practice offering market research, commentary, and portfolio management services to independent financial advisors across New England. Previously, Al served as the Director of Investment Strategy for Independence Financial Partners, a comprehensive wealth management firm based in Rhode Island with a legacy of over 100 years of client service.
In addition to his professional roles, Al serves to the Rhode Island State Investment Commission , a 10-member volunteer body that is chaired by the General Treasurer. The Commission, which meets monthly, handles the investments of the Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island as well as oversees non-pension related investments such as the General Fund.
Al is deeply involved in Rhode Island’s financial empowerment community. As a Past President and current Board Member of CFA Society Providence, he spearheads financial literacy initiatives across the state. He is also a board member of Junior Achievement RI, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy and Millennial RI, a non-profit organization that provides Rhode Island Millennials with networking and professional development opportunities.
Furthermore, Al has shared his expertise as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Providence College.
When he isn’t working, Al enjoys spending time with his wife Jaya and two daughters, Lyla and Talia.
Marcin Krolikowski, PhD, CFA®
Co-CIO, AMP Consulting Group
Marcin Krolikowski is the CO-CIO of AMP Consulting Group, where he advises on market research and analysis, asset allocation, and portfolio construction and conducts macroeconomic research. His work helps clients build cost-effective, resilient, and robust portfolios. Previously, Marcin worked for Citigroup on their Emerging Markets Desk, trading primarily fixed-income instruments.
Always passionate about finance and the economy, Marcin thrives on the industry’s ever-changing nature, which he compares to “trying to solve a puzzle that is forever transforming.” One of his strengths is his ability to remain rational when the market is not; another is his willingness to answer specific questions directly from clients.
Marcin received his PhD in Finance from the University of South Florida and his MBA in Finance and Corporate Accounting from the University of Rochester. He is an Associate Professor at Providence College, teaching and investments at undergraduate and MBA levels. His research has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Business Research and Accounting and Finance, and his work has been presented at more than 20 international and domestic conferences.
Dr. Krolikowski serves on multiple boards, including the Board of Directors of the CFA Society in Providence (Past President). He is an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Business Accounting and Finance and is actively involved in the community. Having lived in Poland, South Africa, and Oman, and now a resident of Providence, Marcin enjoys traveling, tennis, and hiking in his free time.
